Star Wars: Battlefront II

I've not bought this or the other new Battlefront, but I did spend some time playing it at a friends place. Quite frankly its the worst combination of gameplay I just don't care about and scummy business practices. Also, star fighter controls are a giant pile of dogshit.

It passes the play-on-mute-while-listening-to-podcasts test.

It looks beautiful, but that is also pretty much the only thing it has going for it (and the license of course). The campaign has a really bad story and the gameplay just isn't very exciting after the first few hours. The multiplayer isn't really my cup of tea and the grinding / microtransactions are ugly and annoying. Is it really that much to ask to get a good or at least decent Star Wars story? I still enjoyed playing parts of the campaign, despite these annoyances. It does feel Star Warsy.

Undoubtedly a more complete product than Battlefront Remake, Battlefront Remake Sequel is EA's latest scam to milk as much money as possible from Star Wars fans in order to justify it's license. It is an effective casino, funneling players to spend money at regular intervals for as long as they are playing. There is also a video game here somewhere too.
