The Curse of Monkey Island is an adventure game that followed the successful games The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. The game is the last LucasArts game to use the SCUMM engine, which was extensively upgraded for its last outing. Find myself coming back to this almost as often as to 2. Sure, gilbert's creativity is missing somewhat, and the biggest puzzle to me will always be why they turned guybrush into a stick figure...but i'll always remember figuring out one of the tougher riddles in my head in bed late at night and when i tried it out the next day it actually worked. That was really cool and speaks volumes on how cleverly designed it is.

Curse of Monkey Island is a rare third in a series which not only equals the originals in quality. It outshines them. With wonderful animation and terrific voice acting. Dominic Armato gives a personality to Guybrush that overshadows all other video game voice acting in history.
