The Last of Us Part I

I haven't gotten super far but I find it frustratingly slow (even just the way the character moves) and it seems a bit too linear -> Not finding this engaging and not sure I will spend much more time on it.

Finally got round to playing 'one of the best games of all time', 10 years after release and having already watched the TV show that followed, I feel like I've somehow had the rug pulled out under my feet. imo, the BEST video game of ALL time. The relationship between Joel and Ellie, the dangers posed by the infected and moreso by the people, the entire plotline in relation with the characters and the fireflies, the journey AND the upgraded graphics from the 2013 release. It's fun, challenging, emotional and everything one could wish for. Close to perfection.

Solid remake

An improved version of a game that is already outstanding.

This game has remained my favorite game of all time since it was released. This is still true, and this game makes it even better. WAY better graphics and animation, and some nice improvements to the gameplay as well. I thought it was well worth it to get this at full price.

bought it used for 40 bucks. way more adequate for a game I already own. twice. questionable pricing aside, this is definitely the way to play TLOU today. everything has been refined, it looks gorgeous, handles smoother and has more "oomph", esp. in gunplay. there's still some glitches and weird NPC-behavior, but it doesn't detract from the overall masterclass atmosphere. thankfully nothing beside the doc got retconned to reference that brain hemorrhage of a sequel. yeah, fuck y'all for that.
