Titanic: Adventure Out of Time

A weird and unique adventure game with a detailed and ridiculously thorough environment to explore - apparently, real-life Titanic researchers used it as a tool - and lots of replay value.

Quite impressive how they got this game onto a CD-ROM. The transition effect between screens makes it look like a full 3-D model instead of a slideshow like Myst. And the real actors give the whole game a realistic feel instead of being horribly dated like many of its time, nor having to use FMV which would have required many discs. The way music is used and the sparse population on board help give an appropriately eerie atmosphere. Worth a look from anyone not just Titanic nuts.

Avventura anomala, pochi enigmi e molta esplorazione. Non è detto che sia un male, anche perché la ricostruzione d'ambiente è così accurata che sembra davvero di essere a bordo del Titanic, l'atmosfera è immersiva e si nota che c'è stata molta ricerca dietro. Purtroppo però non amo i giochi "a tempo", quelli dove una scelta sbagliata può rovinare tutto, perché si rischia (come è successo a me) di arrivare alla fine frustrati e senza alcuna voglia di rigiocare da capo per rimediare agli errori.
