Only worth playing for the anime aesthetics, but that was enough for me to try it. The core gameplay is very dull. Only play the Genesis version if you want to try it, the original on PC Engine was genuinely awful gameplay wise. Just spams enemies at you and the dullness is alot more apparent

A serviceable third-tier Genesis action-platformer. This series won't inspire any retro clones, but it's fine. I liked that Giger-inspired late 80s Japanese sci-fi monster design in Faxanadu, and I liked it here. The gameplay is loose and not especially great, but it's okay enough to not be bad.
