An artistic masterpiece when it was first released, it's more of a picturesque tech demo now. But it led the developers to create Journey, which is the best part about this.

A weird little experiment. It can catch one's attention, but as soon the console is turned off, the whole experience is forgotten.

One of the names that always pops up in the 'video games can be art' debate. Yeah it's literally artistic in the way you 'paint' the landscapes as you blow through the valleys, but apart from a basic environmental message there isn't much going on here. You control the wind by tilting the controller which is an awkward and imprecise control method and you can sometimes miss a flower and spend ages looking for it in order to progress. It's certainly different, but not particularly enjoyable.

I'll never understand how such a pure, simple, innocent game can illicit some of the strongest emotional responses I've felt while gaming. This game is able shred away the excess to turn gaming into a completely immersive, and visceral experience.
