once I stopped thinking about it in terms of 'I need to understand machine learning to solve this' and treated it more like a straight-up logic puzzle without the necessity of outside knowledge, it all started to flow and I actually enjoyed it, despite a few quibbles with framing and translation. still do not remotely understand those rl tasks or how I passed them though
