Bio: Hi! I like movies. I also like things that aren't movies. Like Cupcakes. and Corgies.

I don't review short films.

For increased precision and accuracy, I'm only ranking films I've seen since around early 2007.

"Would absolutely be willing to call this the hardest game ever made. I would have a better chance becoming an Olympic Athlete than ever finishing this."
83 65% We Love Katamari (2005) - Rated 12 Apr 2024
"The "story" isn't quite as clever, witty, or engaging as the first Katamari game, but We Love Katamari makes up for it by refining and improving the gameplay of the original, with a larger variety of levels, game modes and a number of interesting twists on the formula. While I think the first Katamari stands up better on it's as a piece of narrative art, the improved gameplay of the sequeal means that this is the game I'd be more likely to replay."
85 78% Katamari Damacy (2004) - Rated 12 Apr 2024
"20 Years later, and this still feels like one of most unique and creative games I've ever played. From the colourful aesthetic and catchy soundtrack, to the simple-to-learn-hard-to-master core gameplay loop, to the absurdist comedy that both parodies Abrahamic religions and satirizes Japanese fatherhood, it really is a complete artistic package."
70 19% Resident Evil 4 (2005) - Rated 12 Apr 2024
"Hot Take: RE4 is possibly the most over-rated game of all-time. It attempts to be a survival horror, a B-movie action film and a campy comedy all at the same time, and it does an okay job of all three, but excels at nothing. It's also about twice as long as it needs to be, with certain story beats and set pieces feeling like redundant and monotonous repetitions of what's come before."
83 65% Sonic Mania (2017) - Rated 05 Dec 2023
"I've never been a huge Sonic fan, but I fell in love with this. This is truly the definitive Sonic experience, as in, this is the only Sonic game you'll ever need to play. It takes Classic Sonic, boils it down to its best design elements and then throws extra sugar and icing on top as a treat. The Encore DLC is a mandatory purchase; the two new characters are probably more fun to play as than any of the original three. (Mighty the Armadillo ftw)"
68 14% F-Zero (1990) - Rated 05 Dec 2023
"Has aged much better than almost any other racing game from the era. It still looks great, with a bopping soundtrack. The gameplay itself however still feels too barebones."
60 5% Super Mario Kart (1992) - Rated 05 Dec 2023
"Has aged poorly."
80 50% Stardew Valley (2016) - Rated 05 Dec 2023
"Videogames are about living out fantasies that are impossible in real life. Like home ownership, or living in a walkable rural community, or being able to easily make friends as an adult."
75 31% F-Zero 99 (2023) - Rated 05 Dec 2023
"It's nice to know that Nintendo still remembers this franchise exists. Overall the gameplay is an improvement on the original and the concept makes sense. However, I wish all the game modes were available directly from the menu instead of having to wait for 10-20 minutes for each one to be unlocked. Play it now before Nintendo delists it and it dissappears forever."
70 19% Gradius (1985) - Rated 26 Aug 2023
"The most archetypal side-scrolling shooter. The ur-shooter, if you will."
