68% Hades (2020) - Feb 27, 2021
"A very cool game that's only hindered by the genre. It's the only roguelike besides Spelunky I've ever bothered to spend more than 10 hours in, but the very nature of the genre, at its core, is repetitive to the point that not even the great aesthetics, story and gameplay of this game managed to keep me engaged until the end. I have yet to beat the last boss for the first time, and I have no idea when I will make my next attempt, if ever."
89% Persona 4 Golden (2012) - Dec 24, 2020
"It gets the same score as Persona 5: Royal for being better at some things and worse at others. Story and characters are the strongest in Golden, minus the "directors cut" content where Royal kicks Golden's ass imo. Combat and dungeons are a lot more repetitive than 5, and it lacks in style and music, while still being strong in those areas for a pretty old game. Exploring the much larger Tokyo is also just more fun, though you can't deny that Inaba has a special charm. Also, Yukiko best girl."
89% Cyberpunk 2077 (2020) - Dec 24, 2020
"Buggy, glitchy, clippy-through-wally and game-breaky as all hell. And I love it. It needed 6 more months in the cooker, and poor console players, but the base game (on PC) delivers on what I expect from CDPR games: well written story and characters. Most games just aren't written or paced this well. It's sorry state betrays the treasure hidden beneath its beautiful but coming-apart-at-the-seams exterior. Truly a diamond in the rough. I will happily replay once it's patched and presentable."
39% Okami (2006) - Nov 08, 2020
"Didn't do much for me. The intro is stupidly long and the combat fairly unexciting. Never got far enough to really explore any of the dungeons, though I did do the first tutorial one which had a puzzle that I had to google to solve. Also, the PC version is locked at 30 fps due to animations being tied to framerate. Playing anything other than Undertale at 30 fps on PC is sacrilege."
68% Celeste (2018) - Nov 08, 2020
"A pretty excellently designed platformer that I'll probably never finish or even get very far in."
68% Counter-Strike (2000) - Nov 08, 2020
"Basically what got me into PC gaming, but as I've grown older I've learned that I enjoy more hero-based FPS's like Overwatch, where you don't have to sit out an entire round after each death and twiddle thumbs."
