I've sunk a lot of hours into this game. I have it on Switch and that has definitely contributed to the problem. I can play in bed, on my lunch break, in the bath, in the car, literally anyplace! At first I didn't like this one because of how many cities you are expected to make to be able to win but it's grown on me. I just wish achievements were a thing in the Switch version.

Initially I didn't really love this game but after adding a few DLCs and especially making my own scenarios, I can easily sink 6 hours a day into this game. Eventually it always gets frustrating or boring but then you can just start a new colony so no big deal.

The combat system is fun, but damn is this game shallow. The loot is so pointless, you don't earn anything of substance for challenges, you don't get to make any choices at all for your characters, dialogue doesn't matter one bit, most side quests are about five to ten minutes to complete, and the NPCs are boring and don't do anything. The castle is very well developed. I just wish they would have let Bethesda get some life into the NPCs and made the world itself more interesting.
