BioShock 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by 2K Marin and published by 2K Games. Set in the fictional underwater dystopian city of Rapture, the game's story takes place eight years after the events of the first BioShock. Assuming control of Subject Delta, a hulking Big Daddy, players are tasked with fighting through "splicers", the psychotic human population of the city, using weapons and an array of genetic modifications. Remember when you were walking around rapture last and you were wishing the entire game was an escort / protect mission

I liked it better than the first BioShock actually. Also enjoyed the multiplayer.

I'm honestly at odds with Bioshock 2. Not comparing it to its predecessor is hard, when it improves upon a lot of what made the first game great, especially since it lets you BECOME the big daddy you've always feared from the first game. However, there's a trope in most video games about escort/defending missions being the most boring parts of a game, and that's the core gameplay loop for BS2. Enjoyable, but flawed.

I played this (several times) before I played the first game, and I could never understand why people didn't like it. Now I understand: it doesn't add much, and the main story isn't as memorable. Still very fun! I liked a lot of the maps.

I think it just lost some of its charm being basically a rehash of the amazing first one. In ways it could possibly be a better game but it wasn't able to grab me like the first, and it didn't do anything different with the formula like Infinite did. Still a good game, just easily the weakest part of the trilogy.

Bioshock Infinite came around and stopped this from really being the 2nd Bioshock game anymore, now it's more like a spin off that doesn't know what subtlety is.

A preview of things to come with Inifnite: Gameplay gets less exciting and its politics get more muddled.

My favorite of the Bioshock series... 2 allows us to revisit our beloved Rapture, but from a wholly different perspective. We're already familiar with the story of Rapture, so the story doesn't need retelling; events here take place after 1, with some additional details from the past made known. The combination of unique combat, skills tree, game-in-game and even the sometimes annoying puzzles all add to its replayability.

Even more boring than the first. Very slow start for a game. I deleted it after a while. Bioshock as a series, kinda disappointing for me.

The weakest of the Bioshock series, but the nonetheless an interesting game with plenty to offer. Failing to capture some of the narrative strengths of BS1, Bioshock 2 instead delivers on some excellent gameplay moments that stem from being a Big Daddy. Did someone say drill arm?

The formula is wearing even thinner by this point.

BioShock 2 has all of the game play and atmosphere of the first game. So for those who enjoyed the original, this is a very suitable sequel. It falls short only in the realm of story, which is nothing compared to the original.

I thought this game was fun all the way through. An absolutely enjoyable experience that was different enough from its predecessor to feel like a whole new game, even though the mechanics and environment were similar.

Not bad, just... disappointingly more of the same.
