Call of Duty: Black Ops II

I went through this period where I was just a sad shit for a few days and all I did was sit there and mindlessly play multiplayer BLOPS 2 for those days. I mean it helped I guess, so that counts for something. I've given up on COD and rate them all around 60 or so I think, but this has a bit of a soft spot for that reason.

After what was a slight misstep in MW3, BO2 got everything back on track. The multiplayer was good as it had ever been to this point, featuring great maps with new environments, more fleshed out weapon customization with it’s own new class system, and with the futuristic setting, just felt new at a time CoD was struggling to. The campaign was nothing to write home about, but between the multiplayer, zombies, and updates/DLC, BO2 capitalized in it’s most important components.

The last good COD multiplayer experience before they ruined it with jet packs.

A great multiplayer shooter but that is about it. Treyarch knows how to make the mechanics of a game but putting it into a roller coaster, action movie experience is certainly not their forte.
