Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion

The first couple hours tested my patience cuz I hate when games constantly rip control from me (cutscene, walk 2 seconds, cutscene... this game even gives you story beats in the middle of battles), but I pushed on because I'm invested in FF7. And I'm glad for that because while Zack can be a little corny, there's a good story here. Fast, snappy combat. Good visuals. Great music. I like how the side missions are handled cuz it respects my time. DMW system is weird but kinda cool.

20+ hours in I was only 3 chapters into the main story 'cause I spent most of that time in the missions. The combat got boring after 20 hours, so I unfortunately had to return to the main story. The writing is crap, the aerith moments being particularly unbearable. Jank Sims-tier animation in non-cinematic scenes. Crap voice acting. Stale un-interactable environments. Decent button-mashing combat. Missions: 7/10 for not having insultingly bad writing (ignore the low-effort mission descriptions).
