By this point, the efforts put into the preceding game's campaign had run their course. All I wanted was a satisfying conclusion and I didn't get it. But the rest of the game really shines. Horde got significant improvements, Beast Mode was actually great, and the multiplayer was about as smooth as the franchise could ever hope for.

Great co-op fun and that's about it. I don't feel anything for these characters I just wanna shoot scaly aliens.

This game was when I really realized that I just don't like how these games feel anymore. It doesn't use the cool things as well as it should, and some people think there's some decent story with good characters but I've never seen it. GoW3 does nothing to fix that.
