Killzone 2

I'll never forgive this series for ditching the alternate fire modes of weapons

A solid first-person shooter which had a fairly good multiplayer and a fun campaign with a sinister enemy and dark grim environments. Also has decent replay value because it features offline bots that you can play against.

A spectacular improvement over the first game, and one of the better FPSs of its generation. While often compared to CoD, it took the realism a step further and made you and your guns feel heavy and real, instead of a pea-shooter attached to flying camera. The few things its predecessor did right, namely the gritty aesthetic, this game improved on tenfold, and coupled with its fantastic multiplayer, makes it a great game all around.
