Completely uninteresting, way too easy and simplistic, maybe good for a very young child, which is of course who it's aimed at so can't blwme it for that.

The Crystal Shards is short and to the point. The gameplay is perfectly in keeping with the franchise up to that point. With many different combinations to try. It may prove a little too simple now, but the appeal has never worn.

A Kirby game is always generally a fun thing to play but I didn't find the aesthetic presentation or play control or level design here quite as sharp as Kirby's Adventure or Kirby Super Star.

Kind of a dream platformer for a kid. The game is set on rails but the customization of the powers feels almost limitless. Fun idea and levels make this one of the best installments.

I'm generally pretty negative about Kirby because I view it as a series that never pushes itself beyond its core gimmicks and sells itself on its light hearted charm that's never won me over. Kirby 64 at least has some semblance of level design that is at least cool as a novelty and they give you enough variety in its powers I can at least say I found some degree of enjoyment out of that. Even then, I'd say this was at best amusing for me than anything.
