A dark prince is freed from his seal by a thunderstorm, and begins to try to take over the world. The kingdom is in peril, and the King orders that the four heroes receive a summon: Little Samson, Kikira the Dragon, Gamm the Golem, and K.O. the Mouse. My memory of this game is loving the Nintendo Power article about it - it seemed so fresh compared to a lot of the other later NES games. Finally watching it get played on YouTube, eh, it has nice graphics and a decent Mega Man-like gameplay but all of the abilities and characters are available from the start and there really isn't much personality here. Still good, though.

These days it is probably best known to anyone who follows the retro gaming scene for being one of the most rare, most expensive games that you nonetheless have some chance of legitimately finding a copy of somewhere out there. Unlike some other super rare games it's actually quite fun and playable too, clearly a Mega Man ripoff but a well-constructed one with beautiful graphics.

Hilarious: My local Christian bookstore had a floor copy because they thought it was a part of that weird unlicensed religious gaming fad of 1989. Better: My mom bought it for church. Best: I got to play it at the church, and it's actually a decent little action platformer. Cringe: One of the church volunteers donated it to Goodwill.
