Mega Man 10

Not quite as good as Mega Man 9, and we definitely didn't need more Mega Man 2, but it's fine. I do think we owe some debt of gratitude to the retro Mega Man sequels. They showed pixel art as being a valid aesthetic choice for mainstream games rather than a necessity born out of technical limitations or budget constraints.

It hovered around the line of bullshit for most of the game, though there were good parts, but then the Wiley stages, making you repeat each section a thousand times because at the very end you miss a jump by a pixel or two, sent it over the line. Capcom need to learn that gamers loved the classic Mega Man games in spite of the bullshit, not because of it.

Feels much more tired and less creatively inspired than Mega Man 9, though the game engine remains obviously fun. I wouldn't say I dislike it but let me put it this way, I've played through Mega Man 2, 3 and 9 thirty-plus times each; I've played through Mega Man 10 exactly twice. All that said, Sheep Man's level theme rocks!
