Some of the problems with MM4 were ironed out, but the difficulty also dropped to an unsatisfying degree. We are in the hack era here. These last two are good, but interchangeable, but not quite interesting without any rough edges.

This game didn't add anything new to the fundamentals of Megaman unlike past titles. There are some cool levels like the Gravity Man stage, but otherwise, the levels here are pretty forgettable. There's that and also the fact that it's just too damn easy - virtually all of the robot masters are pushovers and I can complete most levels within my first try, barring the occasionally annoying spike placement. If there's any way to define this game, is that it's "just there."

We're well into rehash territory now. Mega Man has fun gameplay, but you need to add new stuff to shake it up. This one didn't have much.

Probably the lesser of the NES Mega Man games, with the Gravity Man level gimmick being the only part of it that really stands out. Still, even lesser NES Capcom is good NES.
