Metroid Prime Hunters contains more first-person shooter aspects than the previous titles in the Metroid Prime series, with removal of assisted aiming, more action-oriented gameplay, and various multiplayer modes. It was created to utilize the Nintendo DS hardware, such as Wi-Fi and voice chat capabilities, and introduced other bounty hunters with unique weapons and alternative forms. (Wikipedia.org)

I'm surprised I enjoy this game a lot. The hunters as enemies is superb. The touch controllers, although not great as mouse and keyboard, is still far better than aiming with a joystick.

So awkward and difficult to play on a DS. The DS was not built for first-person shooting controls.

On top of the awkward as hell controls, the level design is pretty dull since most of it is just corridors that take you back to your ship at the end. The tropes they play with are also extremely predictable, especially since they constantly reuse the same boss fight for each level. The hunter system was neat and I dig the aesthetic this game went for, but the whole thing felt rushed and underwhelming, especially since it was designed to be a multiplayer game.
