I don't like this kind of game I guess, it cost me a bunch of money just to get stuck and frustrated.

Complicated puzzles for 1993. Long runs thinking you have it! But you don't!

The juggernaut of computer game sales for the ensuing decade, Myst introduced a new style of adventure game centered on atmosphere, more mechanically conceived puzzles, and slow, contemplative pacing—and boy did it have all of those elements in spades. The papers hailed it as the Gospel that would draw all ages to CD gaming, and they weren't entirely off. (It was my first CD game, on Mac, though I probably would not have gotten very far without receiving the official guide the next Christmas.)

The realMyst version of this game better shows the worlds in this game.

enigmatic. so enigmatic, in fact, that if you leave the game two-thirds of the way through for a month you'll be so hopelessly lost upon return that you'll have to either stumble through the rest with a guide, or watch the last age-and-a-half on youtube. i, a coward, opted for the latter. this has incredible atmosphere and much better than usual adventure puzzles, just make sure to play the whole thing in a reasonable time frame. rating is for the beautiful realmyst masterpiece edition.
