My friend lent me this game. Played it wnd it was ok...Lack of direction of a number meter and a map will not make me play this game again.

A triumph of presentation thanks to the beautiful graphics (the detailed animations and artfully applied lighting made this a wonder to look at in its day) and some clever gameplay conceits playing with the time-manipulation concept. The platforming parts are clever enough to puzzle out, even if there's not much real challenge to them beyond sussing out the intended path and then maybe following it in a mild hurry. The combat also *looks* nice, though it grows old very quickly.

As someone else here says, I wasn't too into the fighting mechanic, but the time travel gimmick was charmingly amusing enough to make it stand out a little more from the generic third-person action adventure.

A big leap from side to side rotoscoping or whatever it was. Some neat mechanics and visuals put you into the game pretty successfully.

The game boasts a fantastic atmosphere and the time mechanic is pretty cool, but the game has some noteworthy flaws. For one, the combat sucks and you spend about 30% of the game doing just that. The platforming is enjoyable, but it's not mechanically intensive or nuanced, basing itself mostly on timing and its puzzle elements. These are not bad things by any means, but I don't think this puts PoP on the same level of depth as, say, Jak & Daxter or Mario 64. Didn't care for the story either.
