Actually fairly ambitious for its time with its 3D wireframe gameplay. Loved sitting in the arcade console as a kid.

Arguably peak arcade gaming in 1983, certainly on a technical level. This winning cabinet is also the first game to successfully capitalize on the powerhouse IP. The vector graphics are not only cool, they serve to help immerse the player as they mimic Luke's targeting computer in the movie. Credit for a design where the player is awarded for surviving and delivering the torpedo at the end, not for racking up kills. Score is hampered by low replayability. This game relies on the wow factor.
