Terrible game. Rudimentary gameplay that requires zero skill to succeed. Obnoxious, pretentious, narcissistic main characters. No understanding of the '90s as a decade. This was clearly a failed movie script that they quickly slapped some minigames on and called it a day.

Placeholder score. This was a "what to play after Persona" recommendation to me, but it's nowhere near that level of sophistication or quality. Too many characters to keep track of. Combat is OK but samey.

Having played 5, 4, and 3 (in that order), this is definitely my least favorite of them, though to be fair, 4 and 5 are two of my favorite games ever. The devs were still clearly figuring things out at this point, as the characters aren't quite as appealing, the social links aren't quite as engaging, and the general morbidity of the proceedings can be a drag, but in the end the formula still works, and works well. Yuko best girl.

Lighthearted (and lightweight) Indiana Jones clone. Good for some zippy fun, but it even with its short length, it threatens to overstay its welcome, mostly due to its repetitive and outdated gameplay.
