Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Fun little spinoff if you like the OG.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a blues story about inheritance. A grieving Harlem teen learns to carry his father's memory and his mentor's mantle without simply imitating either one. Read through the Black prophetic tradition, the game stages a contest between love and nihilism as a corporation treats a neighborhood as expendable. Its critique of the market is blunted by its own role as a console-selling product, but its picture of hope as love in action rings true. - Full Review

A great short game that focuses on miles

Cringe writing. It's the "how do you do, fellow kids" meme in game form. It feels like a glorified DLC with far worse characters and story. The mechanics from the previous game help keep it afloat.

It's another solid entry into the Spiderman games and more of the same quality that was in the first game. But thats the main problem, it doesnt particular do anything THAT new. The story is also pretty short which is a shame. Plat difficulty - 3/10.

Absolutely nothing new compared to the original and it’s a bit cheeky to sell it as a stand alone when it clearly started as an add on, but it’s still great fun.

It's still super fun to traverse Manhattan as a Spider-Man ... even if this one is way less interesting inside a way more contrived story (does EVERY one of Miles' family and friends have superpowers?). I still hate the idea that combat involves gadgets, though, as it makes playing as Spider-Man feel more like playing as Iron Man.

Fun game, solid gameplay. Too many unskippable cutscenes.

Story and writing much better than the OG game in my opinion, and the same sick combat with extra electric powers! If you don’t use the Spider-Verse suit you’re a cop
