Tetris Effect

Feels weird to say a Tetris game was overhyped but here we are. For how simplistic the game is, it's way too short; just a handful of levels. About half of the music was much lamer than I expected. And there's something annoyingly pompous about the game describing itself as "a stunning sensory experience" and having a mode that removes the gameplay and just shows the visuals and sounds as if anybody would want that. So full of itself.

This is for sure my favorite tetris game. The visuals are incredible, the VR immersion is way better than I expected, and the way the game generates music based on the way you play is mindblowing to me. This will easily be my Tetris of choice going forward.

Really cool in VR.

This game is just awesome. I'd never played Tetris before this but this was a great introduction to the game, and it's enhanced in VR for an immersive and beautiful experience. The original soundtrack is lovingly crafted and dynamically fitted to the style of the level, with beats and samples playing to the rhythm of your moves. Best game to introduce someone to Tetris for sure, and an overall excellent Tetris experience.
