I never played Morrowind so Solstheim was all the more exotic, plus Neloth is one of the best characters in the game. On the other hand dragonriding turned out to be an incredible disappointment.

I like this more than the base game. Partly because it's a break from samey gloominess of Skyrim. Partly because Morrowind is my favourite game of all time, and it's fun to revisit a little. Especially House Telvanni.

A pretty dull expansion that creates a cool world space in Apocrypha but makes all the dungeons featured in it pretty boring and rudimentary. Miraak is an interesting concept of a villain but barely anything is done with him and the side quests are all a big pile of nothing. To its credit it does have some degree of characterization in Neloth and Frea but for the most part, this DLC is a snoozefest where nothing of note really happens aside from the ending.

Dragonborn is the best Skyrim expansion and I do love the attempts at Lovecraftian visuals and ideas but all the interesting story developments just end up lost in the shuffle. I think I'm done waiting for Bethesda to write an interesting story, they've proved time and time again to be incapable.

You can fly dragons! Unfortunately they all drank 5378 bottles of Jack beforehand
