The Matrix: Path of Neo

This is among the wackiest film adaptions I've ever played which does stuff like allowing you to take the blue pill and changing the ending of the 3rd movie. I love it! As for the gameplay, It's a mixed bag. The game has mechanics that mix shooting and melee combat together in cool ways, such as with the wall running and execution moves. But at the same time, combat is pretty stiff due how animations can't be cancelled and have long windup, hindering the finesse of the combat.

Very good fun, though could have been amazing with better jumping mechanics and a better tutorial for the skill upgrades (or any tutorial at all). Was cool getting to play through the movies. Though they could've left out the final boss.

All my points are for the tutorial section which is highly memorable, re-playable, and homages badass hong kong action flicks like Hard Boiled and Legend of the Drunken Master. The rest of the game doesn't leave much of an impression. I would much rather see a modern Matrix game in the 2020s then see the movie franchise rebooted
