Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is a skateboarding video game, the second in the Tony Hawk's series of sports games. It was developed by Neversoft and published by Activision in 2000. This is when the series started allowing you to do crazy combos thanks to the introduction of the manual and double tap tricks. It also adds some cool new content in create a skater and custom parks. But aside from that, the game doesn't diverge from the first game's formula so much as it refines it. Compared to future games, it's still lacking in some key mechanics that really push the series to its peak. On its own; however, it's still a fantastic and mechanically refined game.

Skating games grew way more realistic after this one, but never better. The mechanics were simple enough to be tons of fun, the levels were modeled after some legendary spots, and even the music was solid. Probably the video game I've played more than any other.
