Would've been more fun without limits on things like how much you boost/slide or stingy ammo limits. Core mechanics are decent but the storyline/acting is dumb, levels are fairly repetitive/same-ish, and the replay value is poor.

Vanquish has a strong core but is muddled by how much the game makes doing cover shooting the optimal option and a campaign that has a lot of small annoying things that get progressively worse each act. It's a score attack game stuck in shitty 00's era FPS level design and the most fun you'll get out of it will be in the challenge missions which push you to take risks and not play it safe. Unfortunately, that's a small part of the game and by the end I struggled to want to even do that.

Great combat, such a fine mix of FPS + Arcade Combat. Also very creative techs. And fine-level designs. But too short and too repetitive gameplay kinda were the badsides. But graphics, level designs, and gameplay were ahead of their time. One of the most underrated games.

This is a creative, experimental take on the 3rd person cover shooter with unique mechanics. It plays like literally nothing else ever made. It could use some refinement though like the way the camera bugs out when enemies get close, and the story is not very engaging.
