Adventure Island

Just a platformer, not bad for the gameplay part, but there's nothing memorable here. No memorable characters, bosses, anything.

It's a platformer, all right. Fun enough, though the jumps in later levels are downright nasty. Honestly, it probably didn't need so many levels anyway.

The poster child for NES "meh" - a serviceable time waster yet surprisingly unspectacular.

Great Side scroll er. This copies the Wonder Boy game from the Sega Master system. Although a bit different than that, this game is pretty hard once you get to the later stages. Unlimited continues in this when you find a doll of some sort near the end of stage 1-1. I beat this game. Not one of the game I replay though.

This is refreshingly breezy even today, which is rather remarkable for a game that's now three decades old.
