Apex Legends

Beautifully made, everything looks good and feels nice, but for those looking for a Fortnite alternative, this probably will not be it. Every fight ends up feeling the same in the end. Also, rampant cheating occurs in waves.

Not a fan of the genre, but this is the entry in the genre that I've played the most (which still isn't a lot). Respawn just nails action, and they contributed some nice quality of life/additions to the genre that will hopefully positively affect the genre moving forward (for those who love it, I don't care that much myself). This deserves a higher rating than I give it but it comes down to taste and it's just not overly for me.

These battle royale games all seem like they would get old quick. And I mean, to me they do

Not as fun as Fortnite, not as tense as PUBG, and hindered by a futuristic setting that comes across as overly generic. Not a big fan.

Very slickly made, a lot of fun when things go right, aggravating waste of potential when the randoms you're paired with make bad decisions.
