Timing swings and guessing where to pitch are fun for a few minutes, then you realise you don't control any other aspect of the game and that 10 innings drags on and on.

The nicest-looking baseball game of its time, with a good sense of where the ball is thanks to the shadow. Fielding's on autopilot, and there's no concept of stats or player differences, so it all boils down to how much you feel like running through those swinging and pitching mechanics over and over. They're mildly fun and intuitive by 1983 standards, at least.

Has not aged as well as other early 80s Nintendo games like Donkey Kong and Balloon Fight.

This game was fun. The play life isn't too long, though.

There was a time, a simpler time, when midwestern Dads got together and played this game with some beer while their sons watched.
