Adventure
Dear Esther is a first-person exploration video game. First released in 2008 as a free-to-play modification for the Source game engine, the game was entirely redeveloped for a commercial release in 2012. Spurning traditional game design, Dear Esther features no puzzles or tasks. The player's only objective is to explore an unnamed island in the Hebrides, listening to a troubled man read a series of letters to his deceased wife. (wikipedia.org)

Walking forward while someone talks non-contexually is not a videogame.

Beautiful environment, bad writing. Worthwhile experience if you only pay a couple bucks.

Mildly interesting when you're playing it, totally forgettable once it's over. I got it for like £2 though so whatever.

A lovely introduction to walking simulators, with loads of style and mood. There isn't much depth, but as a singular experience, it's all you need.

It would be bad enough if this game was just a walking and talking simulator but the game just never shuts up.
