Excellent game. You can pick to do the levels in any order. This is a game I will play as often as well. 3 difficulty game setting from easy, normal and hard. I beat this on both easy and normal. Usually I'l replay this on the easiest setting. Again if you are good in retro gaming. This will take you about 20-30 min to complete.

DuckTales is an NES masterpiece. Capcom could churn out great sidescrollers but even by their standards this is next level, this fusion of big standalone levels mixing in Metroidvania-style exploration with amazing chiptunes. Whoever pitched the idea of a pogo stick deserves all the raises. The one thing preventing this from being the best NES game is how short it is - if there was, say, twelve levels this well-designed with music and platforming this great instead of five? I can only dream.

Coming out the same year as Capcom's other NES masterpiece, Mega Man 2, DuckTales seems like the perfect companion. It has the same, Everest-high quality including some of the best music on the platform and an iconic pogo jump ability, but lowers the difficulty to a level appropriate to all Disney fans. The secret treasures not only keep you coming back for more but it's also pitch perfect with the Scrooge McDuck treasure hunting theme.

Ducktales is such fun to play. Treasure hunt, take down enemies with your pogo-cane, and shore up your claim to be the world's richest duck. Fun music, fun boss fights.

mechanically, this is actually a very fun game, but oh my GOD are the controls terrible. whoever decided to make the pogo stick -- the defining element of the gameplay -- a three button combo should be fired into the sun.
