Hyper Light Drifter

Stopped playing. Combat is too fustrating + confusing map progression. The pixel grafix is great but background is picture frozen with no motions. The constant option to dart dash takes away joy of appreciating the environment, while walking normally feels more natural. Not to mention the upgraded dash is useless unless you understand the beat. Try doing that while in combat. Non talking/moving NPC makes the game feel isolated and lacks character. Great music though however.

I really loved this game. I mean, everything except the actual gameplay which was awful.

The combat only felt decent to me and I got really tired of the gameplay loop of hunting for... whatever it was I had to hunt for. Really the whole thing just isn't memorable in any way to me now; I had to verify that this title was even the game I thought it was. I like the visuals though, it does a lot with a little.
