I love the idea of taking a realistic approach to a well defined genre. I also appreciate the different setting (helps that I have Czech heritage). It's really enjoyable and immersive to explore this world. However, by its very nature this makes the game a slog to play at times. And some things are still gamified. Combat is not just realistic, it's artificially difficult and frustrating. These things hold back what otherwise is a remarkable effort.

Yep that's me on the cover after about an hour of this nonsense.

Juego que nos pone en la piel de henry, un aldeano joven en la edad media, en el que pasa a convertirse en un caballero, el gameplay y el combate son unicos e interesantes, una vez aprendido resulta divertido, historia y personajes atractivos, me gusto bastante

Made me feel like I was playing a non-fantasy Elder Scrolls game, both for better and worse. There's a lot of systems, and while I applaud the devs' ambition, there's plenty of jank as a result. The combat system didn't grow on me at all, even if it did get easier with certain abilities. Plot is good, though some voice acting is dodgy, and the random assortment of accents for isolated rural communities is jarring. Still, I had fun, and the encyclopedia of historical info is a great addition.

I can’t say it’s bad because I didn’t even get past 2 hours, but this is way more “simulator” than “game.” I just don’t enjoy having to study and learn something when I just want to sit down and have fun real quick. Maybe these complicated systems are fun for some, and I think it’s great for them, but not my cup of mead unfortunately because I really did want to like this game.

Extremely flawed in many aspects of its design and execution and both buggy and janky to the point of feeling broken and unfinished, but there's still so much here to love. It's an extremely ambitious game and pulls some things off that I haven't experienced in another game. But that extreme ambition is also it's biggest downside as the game definitely bites off a lot more than it can chew. It's a game that can be both incredibly rewarding and incredibly frustrating.

Got to monastery, had to pretend to be a monk, suddenly felt more like a museum tour than a video game. Felt lost and fell off after enjoying it for a while. Overall ambitious and neat, but janky. Like a Skyrim at a historically acurate-ish ren faire

Skyrim with added realism. Combat is hilariously difficult when you start out but once you master it is very satisfying. The world feels more alive than most games of this type, most of the missions are more interesting than usual (the monastery section will test your patience though), and the progression from illiterate peasant to influential protagonist doesn't feel too forced. Well worth the extra effort this game requires from the player.

Lots of jank and a general feeling of clumsy controls. If that bothers you, I'd suggest passing on this. But beyond that, it's an immersive game with a lot of great features to mess around with. Towns feel lively, the story and it's characters are engaging, progression is rewarding, the game is beautiful.
