Neverwinter Nights 2 is a role-playing video game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Atari, Inc. It is the sequel to BioWare's Neverwinter Nights, based on the Dungeons & Dragons pencil and paper fantasy role-playing game. Neverwinter Nights 2 utilizes an adaptation of the Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 edition rules.

If you can get it to work on a PC made after 2005, you still have to tweak the controls, and then go back and make a character you actually want to play. Then you have the 3e rules set. Then you have the deflated story, Then you have...an okay game at its best, but a terrible game for Obsidian.

The UI is really unintuitive, the gameplay is pretty crappy, the graphics were ugly, and the main plot is really lame... yet, I find myself oddly liking this game. It has one of the best character creators ever (outside of aesthetics) and I oddly thought the cast and side quests were charming despite them not being particularly well-written. That said, NWN2 is an odd game where the main game is unremarkable but it has a really good expansion - NWN2 is worth it just for Mask of the Betrayer.

Soooo many trash mobs. Add a paper thin story and a horrid interface, and you have a recipe for boredom. Some of the dialogues are good, but that's no reason to waste your time with this stinker.
