PaRappa The Rapper

This is pure garbage. I am timing the button presses as the little Parappa the Rapper icon passes to the button presses you make. I only was able to beat the 1st level because I was button mashing and not following what you were supposed to do. After that the button mashing does not work anymore. This game is broken. Watch a YouTube video to see the story of this game. The Worst rhythm game I have ever played.

Kick-Punch-It's all in the mind, if you want to test me, I'm sure you'll find..... Great songs in this one and they are still stuck in my head to this day! A very short and simple rhythm game that will get you singing along in no time. You just gotta believe!!!

Boy is this thing charming but boy does it play badly. It never seems like the tracks are synchronized 100% because I often felt like the timing of the game was badly off. It's still a solid rhythm game with a lot of solid mechanics once you understand the timing.

The years haven't been kind, but is still as charming and funny as ever. Sometimes when you hit a beat it registers as a miss, and sometimes when you miss a beat it registers as successful. Probably more fun to watch than it is to play, but it gets extra points for pioneering the rhythm genre.

I almost want to rate it a 1 because of the remaster, but dammit if the original wasn't a ton of fun.
