Pathologic 2

There are certain aspects that I think the first game did better when it came to certain plot beats and elements of its prose but this is a substantial improvement otherwise. It took the original game's base and created something that is substantially more visually stunning, elevating what was already a haunting, phenomenal narrative and refining its gameplay loop into something much more engaging but also molded into the narrative wherein you can't discuss one without the other.

Was kinda hard to play, overall love it. not gonna repeat everyone else's reasoning.

I hate time pressure in games, especially when it's this strict. Even the intriguing setting wasn't enough to save it for me. Certainly didn't help that it ran like a brick on my rig.

bodies, theatre, colonialism, disease, a million different ideas wrapped up in an incredible convergence of mechanics and themes. godlike visual design. inspiring and exhausting. i have never gotten so angry at my computer.
