The game's protagonists are George, a King Kong-like gigantic gorilla, Lizzie, a Godzilla-like dinosaur/lizard, and Ralph, a giant werewolf. As monsters, they need to raze all buildings in a high-rise city to advance to the next level, eating people and destroying helicopters, tanks, taxis, police cars, boats, and trolleys along the way. You smash buildings and eat people. This is really basic but so much fun to play with 2-3 players

The arcade version looked nice for the time, but all this game or any of its sequels have going for them is about ten minutes or so of fun marveling at the relative novelty of destructible environments before getting bored.

This isn't a terrible rendition of the classic arcade game, but it does suffer from the fact that an NES game just can't measure up to the fun of the arcade. Later renditions will also be done better.

Looking back on how repetitive this game was, I'm not sure why I gained so much enjoyment out of it. But I did. Same for the ones on the N64, though I guess they have a LITTLE more going for them.

I have a copy of this on NES somehow - I have no memory of asking my parents for it; maybe a friend brought it over and left his copy 25 years ago or something? - and I thought it sucked. Ugly looking and monotonous dull gameplay.
