In this classic word game, players use their seven drawn letter-tiles to form words on the gameboard. Each word laid out earns points based on the commonality of the letters used, with certain board spaces giving bonuses. But a word can only be played if it uses at least one already-played tile or adds to an already-played word. (boardgamegeek.com)

a horribly designed game with a heavy dose of white supremacy. i'm sorry, but if you're not going to include Kanji, Cyrillic and emojis, why don't you just write "Heil Hitler" on the damn box? that this came out but a year before the Fuhrer invaded Poland makes these oversights seem far less than coincidental.

One of the few games I'd give the moniker "timeless classic" to.

It's not a word game. It's a math game that uses words as rules. A garbage game for terrible people you should absolutely not date.

Classic literate thinking game. I've seen game translated into multiple languages too. Strategic play. Competitive Play. Friendly Play. I've spent hours around the table with family with this game and always walked away smiling (even if I lost - can't say that about Monopoloy)

A classic game at this point, it's design is elegant as anyone can pick it up and play without any prior experience but there is a curve you can master if you so choose.

Does have its appeal, but I get tense, because I feel I'm always missing the best play. Especially because you don't want to take all day. Aside, I'm assuming Ocelot's review is satire... give that one a star.

Words with Friends, except in real-life. Can be quite boring without implementing some sort of time limit for moves. And will be frustrating if you're playing against someone who is making up words first and checking against a dictionary afterwards.
