[PS2] With the addition of heroes, Battlefront 2 is everything a sequel should be. The awards system made the hours put in rewarding. The Mos Eisley Assault mode was infuriating. The campaign was a great way to re-live Star Wars from a different point of view. Sometimes I still dig out my worn out copy and play Capture the Flag on the Death Star, reliving my childhood.

One of my favourite games of the PS2 era, probably my favourite game of that time actually.

It still has some problems in terms of balance, AI, and sound but this is a massive improvement over the original in many ways. It adds about 10 different game modes and a real single player campaign which isn't all that bad. Even the reboot and the reboot sequel have yet to match this game's quality.

Battlefront II changed a few things from the original. Most notably taking away the flying vehicles from the land worlds. Although it still offers one of the best Star Wars experiences in the gaming world. It's exciting and well made, and playing as the heroes is as awesome as it every was.

I dunno, I guess you had to be there at the time. I'm sure this was otherworldly when it released, but I caught it after the fact. It's pretty clunky and unintuitive in terms of objectives, teaching players, and controls.

When I was 22, I remember losing to my 14 year old brother to this game too many times in a row that I started accusing him of cheating. Of course he wasn't, but I didn't want to admit that he was better than I was at this game. Not a true FPS, but still a lot of fun, with a nice variety of different maps.

Classic xbox couch evenings with my best friend. Co-op galactic conquest. Team killing when we get to play as Vader. Only shoot the wookies on the wookie map.We had a whole system worked out for invading capital ships in space battles. A game with some of my fondest gaming memories.

Not particularly refined as a shooter, but still really fun nonetheless. Captures the feeling of Star Wars battles perfectly, and the amount of classes the game has adds a lot of depth. The space battles, for me personally, were the highlights even if they had less variety than the ground battles. It also has a lot of cool mods and a thriving multiplayer community, which it makes a much more worthwhile title to play than the trash EA is currently releasing.
