StarCraft: Brood War

Some of those missions kept me awake at night but it was so much fun !

Great strategy game. / completed

Brood War is colossal in scope and absolutely breathtaking in achievement. The story might be one long version of "Karrigan was the true baddie all along!" but the steps to get there are ambitious. The additional units make the game so incredibly well-rounded that it's hard to complain about balance in any way. The case could be made this is the best RTS ever.

The perfect example of a game where the whole is greater than the sum. Its imperfections led to novel gameplay and spectator sport opportunities that were not foreseen. Deserves an 80 or 90 for UMS alone.
