Wipeout

Great for its time but doesn't hold up well compared to its sequels.

Very frustrating, turns are too tight given the car's handling, and boosts are often placed just before turns.

Not nearly as revolutionary as the later Wipeout games will be - the idea has not yet met the technology needed. But the gem is there for a real game-changer.
