Journey

I played this once, beat it and never returned because I don't think anything will be able to beat that experience. This was one of the most emotional multiplayer experiences I've ever had. The way the visuals, music, gameplau and anonymity of the multiplayer mesh together is so seemless and unique that I urge everybody to play it without reading about it. It's an event.

Journey isn't a video game. It's a two hour interactive experience that uses some of the basic mechanics of video games to control progression. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, Journey is definitely worth playing. Personally I didn't have the same emotional experience as many others did while playing (not going to discuss potential spoilers) but I can appreciate the intent of the developer and they were largely successful in what they set out to achieve.

Incredibly short game. It's a very beautiful game, with nice music, but there really isn't much here. That being said, I was surprised to find a couple players playing the game at the same time I was, 12 years later.

A cliché hero's journey story, vaguely post-apocalyptic, with nothing much to say. I guess I should've played it on multiplayer because it felt slow and pointless when I played it offline; I hear it's an empathy box of sorts.

Straining the definition of game, but a great experience.

A totally unique experience I don't think I, nor anyone else, will ever experience again. Just thinking about this game makes me tear up a little.

I could complain about how plain the gameplay is and how little actually goes on. However, I remember every detail of this little game like I played it yesterday. This showcases how video games can be genuine art because, while as a piece of software there is nothing spectacular about it, the emotional impact is a transcendent experience.
