Super Mario Maker 2

If you love Mario, here is theoretically infinite Mario. I'm not personally a fan of "here, fans, do all the work for us" games, or things that rely on online functions to work. Not a bad idea, just not my thing. I am concerned at the amount of posts I see about it being a downgrade from 1. That isn't like Nintendo.

Fun to watch, but got to pay to play online. The online is hit or miss. Story mode is a bit boring.

Really awesome. So you can play story mode or go online and make your levels. What I like about this game a lot is that you get to do these objectives to beat levels. Some levels you just beat up straight. The challenges vary by the no of stars. Easier levels get less stars while the more difficult ones get more stars. I like the fact they actually tell you that when you do each level in this game. Basically you are rebuilding the castle that a dog destroyed.

A massive step down from the first Mario Maker. There is nothing about 2 that isn't done better in the first or completely unnecessary. It doesn't even use the Switch properly either. I can't hate more Mario Maker, it's just that this is a sequel which is less refined than the original, something Nintendo is renowned for not doing.

The multiplayer was massively botched by not having good couch co-op. Sorry but this ruins it for me.

I am 2000+ levels deep on my wussy Normal endless quest. Haven't gotten past 5 on Super Extreme. 99% of super extreme is the results of some 6 year old just tossing kaizo blocks everywhere for me to fail. The story mode they added is really well done. As for a final word: I will boo you into oblivion if you make me stand on a snake block for too long.

There's nothing really bad about this. It has a campaign mode of sorts, even though it's not that in-depth--not that it needs it since it's Mario. Unlimited levels, deep level crafting tools. Classic.
