First half is much better story, setting, and gameplay-wise. I wish the art style, sound effects and straightforward gameplay were more common in this genre and with a better story.

Old-school in its gameplay as well as in its narrative. This is a slow-burn gothic/folk horror story that REALLY takes its time but remains compelling through strong writing and voice acting, even if the gameplay can be a little frustrating in how things are timed out

A perfectly fine game, but extremely easy and straightforward; it usually took me less than a minute to find the solution for a puzzle. The plot also turned out to be disappointingly predictable by the end, and honestly felt kinda lame; the first half was definitely more fun than the second. Great art design though.

a nice enough retro point & click to warrant a single playthrough. my biggest gripe is that too many "riddles" aren't solved by ingenuity but tirelessly revisiting places, hoping to find new/changed stuff/dialog. come on, the technical efforts creating a game like this are overseeable, put some thought into the mechanics!

A very Lovecraftian tale (but in rural england) with all the right elements of unease and slow burn.
