Doesn't really hold up. Repetitive, grindy, dated.

Slightly better than your typical movie tie-in.

Really liked this one..This is better than the Two towers that I played...They added a lot of stuff..Pretty Unique game as it's a hack and slash but also a game where you have to think on which enemies to kill first in defending the castle...Also you can play this over and over to max out all the guys then complete this which I did...

It's a great improvement over the first two games. You can still see the corners they cut though. The characters, while fun to play, are still fairly boilerplate and they don't differentiate themselves enough from all the others. There are lots of extras and it does have solid replay value.

An improvement over its predecessor, especially due to the number of playable characters. Wish they put more effort into the co-op mode though.

In terms of the presentation, the game is really damn good at capturing the tone of the films. As for the gameplay, it's passable. There's an interesting ranking system where consistent play is judged by tiers and there's some gratification in that. The game is also good with its setpieces and gimmicks. However, enemies are mostly homogenous and a lot of combat encounters can just be broken by parries. Enemies rarely do much to prevent you from abusing this so combat is a fairly shallow.
