This improved upon the first in every way, added more depth to everything. I miss this series.

The aiming controls are really jittery and over sensitive, making precise aiming a chore on a controller. Thankfully, there's a mouse mod for Dolphin that makes the controls substantially better. As for the game itself? The story mode is a lot of meh with occasionally cool aesthetic but generally boring or frustrating level design. The challenge mode was where it's at, although occasionally badly designed, had a lot of cool challenges. The multiplayer is phenomenal due to its polished variety.

The story is all over the place but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for TimeSplitters. A solid also-ran shooter of the PS2/Xbox era.
